Casey Gilmore Artist and Biologist

It is my life's mission so to speak to use my artistic talent and biological education to help fuel real change for the future of our planet. I deeply care about our fate as well as the future of our planet. The current trajectory we are on isn't sustainable, and we all need to feel it, feel that we can't stay the same. Small changes in all of us is what I advocate.

You'll see a lot of nature and fantasy elements in my art. This is because I am an idealist person. I see in fantasy a beautiful reality that I can only experience through art. But when I want to feel grounded I immerse myself into nature, animals, plants, and their relationships to humans.

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, and I've worked as a vertebrate museum assistant, laboratory assistant, researcher, green house technician, and biological educator. I received 6 years of visual art training through a magnet school and graduated with a senior portfolio consisting of fantasy, surrealism, human figure drawing, sculpture, and photo realism.

I hope to inspire change in all of us through emotions and thoughts that my art may bring. I feel that art can move us more profoundly than many other experiences and I hope to move you!
